Calculating Broadcast Lift
"Lift" is a term that refers to the percentage of web sessions LeadsRx predicts may be from individuals exposed to broadcast advertisements. In essence, "lift" refers to incremental web traffic a client receives due to broadcast spot and is an essential metric in evaluating broadcast performance.
Lift is calculated using this formula:
Lift = (attributed web sessions) / (all web sessions - attributed web sessions)
An attributed session is one that falls within the response window of a broadcast spot (default 10 minutes) and meets the selected criteria for geo-fencing and other factors.
For example, let's assume a client's website receives 5,000 total web sessions in a day and that 1,000 of these sessions are believed to potentially be from individuals responding to broadcast advertisements. Here's the lift calculation:
Lift = 1000 / (5000 - 1000) = .25, or, 25% lift
