How to Delete Touchpoints
There are times when you may want to delete an existing touchpoint. For example, if you have added a referral exclusion for your own domain, you would need to delete any existing touchpoints for your domain. Otherwise, those touchpoints will continue gathering data.
Deleting a touchpoint impacts your underlying data, so it should not be done without careful consideration. The deleted touchpoint will disappear from any attribution path that included it. If it was the only touchpoint before the conversion, that conversion would become "unattributed".
Here are the steps to delete a touchpoint:
- Using the drop-down menu under your company name at the top right of any page, select SETTINGS.
- Click MANAGE on the touchpoints section.
- Find the touchpoint(s) you want to delete.
- Tip: Using the filter box at the top of the touchpoint list can make finding touchpoints much faster.
- Use the dropdown under MANAGE for one touchpoint, or the BULK ACTIONS dropdown from the top of the page for multiple touchpoints, and select DELETE.
- You will be asked to confirm that you really want to delete the touchpoint(s).
- Once confirmed, the touchpoint(s) will disappear and attribution for the account will be recalculated.
